Course on Business for Peace

There is growing recognition among scholars, policymakers, and practitioners that business has the potential to shape the conditions that determine whether instability will evolve into a durable peace or collapse into armed conflict. This course explores existing interdisciplinary research and practical application of the Business for Peace (B4P) field. It will present emerging discussions on how we perceive and understand the role of business in Fragile and Conflict-affected States (FCS) against the backdrop of global challenges such as environmental degradation, mistrust in institutions, and growing inequality. The course will discuss how companies, regardless of size, sector, and composition, can contribute to sustainable ecosystems that create robust, equitable, and stable communities and markets.
